Sharon Friedman-Yaniv RDH, MHA

Sharon graduated as a dental hygienist from the Faculty of Dental Medicine Hadassah Ein Kerem in 1996 later going on to attain a Bachelors and Masters Degree of Health Administration and Business Administration from the Hebrew University

Sharon’s dental hygiene experience includes work in community and kibbutz clinics and at present she works in private practice. She volunteers at the Pediatric Dialysis Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the field of oral health education

Since 2008 Sharon has served on the IDHA Executive and in 2014 was elected as president. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Dental Hygiene Profession in the Israel Ministry of Health and represents the IDHA in the Coalition Board for Oral and Public Health
As the initiator of the IDHA web-site Sharon continues to manage, write and edit the site.

She also writes for and edits the IDHA journal

Sharon represents the Israeli Dental Hygiene Association in the House of Delegates of the International Federation of Dental Hygiene

Orly Starkman RDH, BA

Orly graduated as a dental hygienist from the School of Dentistry Tel Aviv University in 1991, and also holds a BA in Geography and Political Science

She regards the role of the dental hygienist as supporting both the dentist and the patient. In light of that, Orly’s aim in joining the executive of the IDHA is to enrich the professional knowledge and expertise of the hygienist in the areas of general dentistry, (treatment, diagnosis and pharmaceuticals), woman empowerment, marketing, education and treatment

In her opinion, a sensitive and updated hygienist represents the profession in the best possible manner
